FAQ
Questions a broker actually asks.
Straight answers, no sales spin. If yours isn’t here, the demo call is the place to ask it.
- What does PartsDesk actually do?
- It takes a parts broker's back office: it reads every RFQ, supplier reply and shipping quote, sources your suppliers and prices the deal, and drafts your customer quotes and supplier POs — then runs the order to close. You approve what reaches your customer.
- Will it get between me and my customer?
- No — that's the whole point. Every mail goes out from your own address, and PartsDesk is the back office, not a marketplace. The customer relationship, and the data, stay yours. We never sit in the middle.
- Do I have to replace my ERP?
- No. PartsDesk is the system of record itself, so there's no ERP to bring or integrate. A small desk can run the whole workflow from its own mailbox.
- How does pricing work?
- One flat, negotiated monthly fee — no metering, no per-RFQ bills, and we never take a cut of your margin. Starter is €2,000, Pro €3,500, and Enterprise from €8,000 per month. We size the fee with you on a call.
- Is there a free trial?
- Not a free trial — a 30-day paid pilot, set up white-glove on your own inbox. It's the aviation norm: you run it on real RFQs for a month and decide from there.
- Does the AI email my customers on its own?
- Only if you let it. Customer-facing outbound is gated per action class — off, review, or live — and the conservative default is yours to keep. The AI proves itself in review before it ever sends on its own; you move each action to auto at your own pace.
- What do you need to get me set up?
- We set it up with you, white-glove: your mailbox, your suppliers, your markup and your approval rules, dialled in before you go live. It's a small, focused operation — you talk to the people who build it.
- Where is my data hosted?
- The primary data store is in the EU (Germany). Some processing runs through vetted sub-processors, some outside the EU (for email, OCR, AI and auth) — all disclosed in our privacy policy. Your data is exportable in one click, with GDPR export and erasure, so there's no lock-in.
- How does PartsDesk handle compliance?
- Compliance is built into every deal, not bolted on: sanctions and airworthiness-directive screening, certificate checks, and a tamper-evident, exportable audit trail of every action.
- Who is PartsDesk for?
- Business-aviation parts brokers — small desks that want to run like big ones without hiring another back-office seat, and without giving up the relationships that make the desk theirs.
